The area planting of annual crops of all kinds in 2022 reached 116,964
ha, down 0.6% compared to 2021. In which, the planted area of cereals
reached 70,998 ha, up 0.25%; in which: planted area of paddy was 38,513
ha, up 0.11%; maize with 32,485 ha, up 0.4% compared to 2021. The
production of cereals reached 367,785 tons, up 1.57% compared to 2021, of
which: Paddy production reached 217,101 tons, up 0.78%. The whole year
paddy yield reached 56.37 quintals/ha, an increase of 0.37 quintals/ha
compared to 2021.
Livestock activities were maintained; diseases in livestock herds were
well controlled. Livestock and poultry farming were developed; the
production of buffalo live weight in 2022 reached 3,896 tons, up 2.19%; the
production of cattle live weigh reached 3,236 tons, up 4.05%; the
production of pig live weigh reached 68,144 tons, up 6.87%; the production
of poultry live weigh reached 24,896 tons, up 0.53% compared to 2021.
Sectors and localities in the province have increased afforestation and
scattered trees to have a green belt for protection, prevention of storms and
floods, improvement of the ecological environment, response to climate
change, protection of production and aquaculture. In 2022, the whole
province planted 8,299 hectares of forest, an increase of 3.75% compared to

2021. Preliminary timber production reached 595,712 m , an increase of
5.76%; firewood production was 285,810 steres, increasing by 1.05%
compared to 2021. Timber and forest product production in the area was
large, mainly from production forests.
Aquaculture manufacture in 2022 remained stable. Aquaculture
developed new species of high economic value; forming concentrated
farming areas, applying high technology to create value chains from
production to consumption. Fishery production in 2022 reached 8,693.1
tons, up 5.71% compared to 2021; in which: aquaculture production was
6,721 tons, up 5.69%, exploitation production was 1,971 tons, up 5.75%.
New rural construction: In 2022, the Provincial People's Committee
decided to recognize 7 communes, meeting new rural standards; as of
December 31, 2022, 73/129 communes (accounting for 56,59%) had met
new rural standards.
