5.3. Trade and service

               In 2022, Hoa Binh province deployed many flexible solutions to both
          effectively control the Covid-19 pandemic in the first months of the year
          while  developing  the  economy,  ensuring  goods  supply  and  demand,
          stabilizing the market, and meeting production needs. consumption by the
          people.  Commercial  and  service  activities  recovered  and  developed
          positively in all industries and became more vibrant in the last months of
          the year.

               Total  retail  sales  of  goods  and  services  in  2022  reached  16,457.5
          billion  VND,  up  21.59%  over  the  previous  year;  in  which:  Retail  goods
          reached  10,408.4  billion  VND,  up  17.18%;  accommodation  and  food
          services  reached  2,548  billion  VND,  up  42.89%;  other  services  reached
          3,501 billion VND, up 22.03%.
               Commercial and service infrastructure is enhanced; types of wholesale
          and retail trade such as supermarkets, convenience stores with modern sales
          forms  are  increasingly  developed,  goods  prices  are  stable,  quality  is
          guaranteed.  By  2022,  there  were  7  supermarkets  in  the  province;  95
          residential markets (in which, 1 market of type 1, 10 markets of 10 type 2
          and 84 markets of type 3); 1,102 enterprises and nearly 30,000 individual
          establishments were operating in the fields of trade and services.

               The network of tourist service businesses and the system of technical
          facilities in the tourism industry has gradually developed to meet the needs
          of  tourists.  In  2022,  the  number  of  visitors  served  by  accommodation
          establishments reached 1,789.1 thousand visitors, nearly 2 times higher than
          the previous year. Tourists were mainly domestic tourists.

               6. Some social problems
               6.1. Population, labor and employment

               The  average  population  of  the  province  in  2022  reached  875,379
          people,  an  increase  of  3,655  people,  equivalent  to  an  increase  of  0.42%
          compared  to  2021,  including  the  urban  population  was  222,629  persons,
          accounting for 25.43%;  rural population was 652,750 persons, accounting
          for 74.57%; male population was 440,697 persons, accounting for 50.34%;
          female  population  was  434,682  persons,  accounting  for  49.66%  average
          population in 2022.
