Urban population is the population of the territorial units which is
designated as urban areas by the State (wards, town).

Rural population is the population of the territorial units which is
designated as rural areas by the State (communes).

Population density is the average population per square kilometer of
          the territory.

Population density is calculated by dividing the population (at time
point or average population) of a certain residential area to the area of that
          territory.

Population density can be calculated for the entire country or region
(rural, urban, socio-economic region), for each province, district, commune,
etc. in order to reflect the population distribution by geography at a given time.

               Formula:

                           Populationn density = Population
                                          2
                              (persons/km ) Territory area

               Number of households
Household is a social unit, comprising either one person living alone

or a group of people living in the same dwelling and sharing meals together.
For households with 2 persons or over, its members may or may not share a
common budget; or be related by blood or not; or in combination of both.

Sex ratio of the population reflects number of males per 100
females. Sex ratio of the population is determined by the following formula:
                           Sex ratio Total of males
of the population = Total of females × 100

               Crude birth rate
Crude birth rate indicates that for every 1000 people, how many live
births are in the reference period.

               Formula:
                                                B
                                 CBR (‰) = × 1000
