up 4.0% over the same period last year; cargo transportation in 2019

reached 7,179.9 thousand tons, up 5.3% over the previous year.

7. Some social issues
- Population, labor and employment

The average population in 2019 in the province reached 855,804

people, an increase of 5,391 people, equivalent to an increase of
0.63% compared to 2018, including the urban population of 134,749
people, accounting for 15.75%; rural population is 721,055 people,
accounting for 84.25%; male population is 427,836 people,
accounting for 49.99%; the female population is 427,968, accounting
for 50.01%.

The labor force aged 15 and over in the whole province in 2019
is estimated at 556,473 people, an increase of 3,458 people compared
to 2018. The labor force aged 15 and over working in economic

sectors in 2019 is estimated at 553,424 people, an increase of 3,479
people compared to 2018. The percentage of trained labor in working
age in 2019 is estimated at 17.6%, higher than 17.2% of the previous
year.

The unemployment rate of the labor force in the 2019 age group
was 0.63%, of which urban areas were 1.58%; rural area is 0.48%.

- People’s living standards

In 2019, there were 101 traffic accidents in the province. In
particular, the road 101 cases, causing 77 deaths and 78 injuries.
Compared to 2018, the number of traffic accidents decreased by 6, the
number of deaths fell by 8.

In 2019, there were 13 fires and explosions in the province that
killed 1 person. Property damage is estimated at 1,900 million VND.
Compared with the same period last year, the number of fires and

explosions decreased by 1, the number of deaths increased by 01 and
damage to property decreased by 19,700 million VND.
