INVESTMENT AND CONSTRUCTION
IN 2019

Total implementation investment in the whole province in 2019 at
current prices reached 15,951.87 billion VND, a rise of 23.29%
compared to 2018. By management levels: the centrally managed
investment was estimated at 1,195.85 billion VND (accounting for
7.50%), increase of 3.47%; the locally-managed investment was
estimated at 14,756.02 billion VND (sharing 92.50%), decreased of
3.47% in comparison with the previous year. By investment sources: the
State sector’s development investment gained 6,560.97 billion VND,
accounting for 41.12%, increase by 2.52% compared to 2018; the non-
state sector’s investment achieved 8,219.35 billion VND, accounting for
51.54%, went up 2.07% compared to 2018; the FDI sector’s investment
reached 1,171.55 billion VND, accounting for 7.34%, decreased by
4.95% compared to 2018. By economic activities, investment focused
mainly on the household employment activities, production of physical
products and services for household self-consumption accounted for
30.34%; the manufacturing occupied 17.94%; the transporttation and
storage accounted for 5.13%; the construction accounted 6.44%; public
administration and defense accounted for 5.52%; the agriculture, forestry
and fishery accounted for 6.46%; the water supply, sewerage, waste
management and remediation activities accounted 7.25%; the others
sectors accounted for less than 5% of the total investment.

In terms of FDI attraction, there were 5 newly licenced projects in
2019 with registered capital of 30 million USD. Generally, the total
registered capital of accumulated projects still in effect as of 31/12/2019
reached 564,11 million USD. The realized foreign direct investment in
2019 gained 300.37 million USD, an increase of 0.45% in comparison
with the previous year.

In 2019, the area of constructed housing floor reached 1,075,910

m , an increase of 9.78% compared to last year, of which the area of
2
permanent houses gained 860,271 m , accounting for 80.01%, the area of
2
semi-permanent houses reached 118,473 m , making up 11.02%, the area
2
of durable wooden frame houses 13,919 m , accounting for 1.29%.
