INVESTMENT AND CONSTRUCTION
IN 2018
Total implementation investment in the whole province in 2018 at
current prices reached 12,435.65 billion VND, a rise of 16.74%
compared to 2017. By management levels: the centrally managed
investment was estimated at 222.90 billion VND (accounting for 1.79%),
a decline of 0.98%; the locally-managed investment was estimated at
12,212.75 billion VND (sharing 98.21%), a rise of 0.98% in comparison
with the previous year. By investment sources: the State sector’s
development investment gained 4,015.87 billion VND, accounting for
32.29%, decreased by 2.60% compared to 2017; the non-state sector’s
investment achieved 8,006.66 billion VND, accounting for 64.38%, went
up 3.67% compared to 2017; the FDI sector’s investment reached 413.12
billion VND, accounting for 3.32%, decreased by 1.07% compared to
2017. By economic activities, investment focused mainly on the
household employment activities, production of physical products and
services for household self-consumption accounted for 32.40%; the
manufacturing occupied 20.66%; the transporttation and storage
accounted for 6.74%; the construction accounted 6.01%; Public
administration and defense accounted for 5.49%; the agriculture, forestry
and fishery accounted for 6.7%; the water supply, sewerage, waste
management and remediation activities accounted 5.28%; the others
sectors accounted for less than 4% of the total investment.
In terms of FDI attraction, there were 3 newly licenced projects in
2018 with registered capital of 200.24 million USD, an increase of 3
projects and 200.24 million USD in the registered capital compared with
the 2017. Generally, the total registered capital of accumulated projects
still in effect as of 31/12/2018 reached 623.43 million USD. The
realized foreign direct investment in 2018 gained 295.27 million USD,
an increase of 5.79% in comparison with the previous year.
In 2018, the area of constructed housing floor reached 869,553 m2,
an increase of 9.59% compared to last year, of which the area of
permanent houses gained 666,178 m2, accounting for 76.61%, the area
of semi-permanent houses reached 103,257 m2, making up 11.87%, the
area of durable wooden frame houses 19,178 m2, accounting for 2.20%.
