PRICE INDEX IN 2021

The consumer price index (CPI) of December 2021 in Hoa
Binh compared with November 2021 increased by 0.18%; compared
to the same period last year and December 2020, increased by 3.16%;
the average of the same period in 2021 increased by 1.61%. CPI in

December 2021 increased compared to the previous month, mainly
because:

In 2021, due to the impact of the Covid-19 acute pneumonia
epidemic, the supply of raw materials for production is scarce, the
prices of many products increase such as the price of imported drugs

and domestically produced drugs increases due to the impact of the
epidemic disease supply of foreign drugs decreased, domestic drugs
lack of raw materials for production due to the inability to import

goods; domestic iron and steel prices were adjusted up sharply due to
the influence of world prices of billet and rolled steel; the price of
domestic water is also adjusted to increase according to the new
circular; the increase in domestic petrol and oil leads to an increase in
food and food products, which is the reason why the consumer price

index in 2021 increases compared to the same period in 2020.

Gold price index: The average gold price index in 2021
increased by 7.08% over the same period last year; gold price in
December compared to November 2021 decreased by 0.66%;
compared to December 2020 decrease by 2.43%. The average retail

price of gold in the month in the province is at 5,286,670 VND/only.

USD Index: The average USD price index in 2021 decreased by
0.64% over the same period last year; USD price in December 2021
compared to November 2021 increased by 0.42%; compared to
December 2020 decreased by 1.98%. Average 1 USD = 23,562 VND.
