1. Health and public healthcare
The number of medical examination and treatment facilities
across the province as of December 31, 2019 was 351 (with 224 state-
owned health facilities and 127 private health facilities), of which: 14
hospitals; 210 commune and ward health stations; 127 other health
facilities. The number of beds at the moment was 2,190 beds, equaling
106.2% compared to 2018, including 2,190 beds in hospitals. The
average number of beds per 10,000 people in 2019 was 25.59 beds,
equaling 102.36% compared to the average number of beds in 2018.
As of December 31, 2019, the number of health workers in the
province was 3,373 people, down 9.84% (down 368 people) compared
to 2018, of which 2,815 people worked in the health sector, down
7.43%; 558 people working in the pharmaceutical industry, down
20.29%. The average number of doctors per 10,000 people will
increase from 8.50 in 2018 to 8.8 in 2019.
The rate of children under 1 year old fully vaccinated in 2019
reached 97.25%, the rate of children under 5 years old with
malnutrition weight by age was 16.0%.
2. Culture, information and sport
In 2019, cultural and artistic activities; propaganda, propaganda
to commemorate the celebration of major holidays and political
missions are widely organized throughout the province.
3. Living standards
Up to now, the whole province has 88/191 communes meeting
the new rural standard, accounting for 46% of the total number of
communes; in the year, there were 2 district-level units meeting new
rural standards/completing the task of building a new countryside:
Hoa Binh city completed the task of building a new countryside and
Luong Son district completed the dossier to submit to the Prime
Minister. The district recognized that the district reached the new rural
standard, the average number of criteria/commune: On average, the
new rural criterion of the whole province reached 15.1
criteria/commune.
