                             1. Agriculture

                              In  2019,  agriculture  production  faced  many  difficulties  due  to
                        natural disasters such as thunderstorm and long-lasting torrential rain
                        causing  severe  damages  to  people  and  property.  However,  the
                        provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, People's Committee
                        and  other  authorities  in  Hoa  Binh  province  made  great  efforts  to
                        overcome all difficulties and strived to achieve certain results.

                              Grain  production  reached  351,678.5  tons,  down  0.78%,

                        compared to 2018, of which rice production reached 206,386.1 tons,
                        down 0.4% (production of winter-spring rice reached 93,061.7 tons,
                        down 2.67%, output of winter rice reached 113,324.4 tons, an increase
                        of 1.54%); corn production was 145,292.4 tons, down 1.32%.

                              Yield  of  sweet  potatoes  reached  24,993.0  tons,  down  4.79%
                        compared to the previous year. Cassava production reached 119,574.9
                        tons,  down  1.43%  compared  to  the  previous  year  mainly  due  to
                        reduced  cultivated  area.  The  yield  of  some  annual  crops  tends  to
                        increase  compared  to  the  previous  year  (sugarcane  increased  by

                        0.82%;  trees  with  oil  seeds  decreased  by  4.35%;  vegetables  of  all
                        kinds, increased 5.66%).

                              The  yield  of  some  perennial  industrial  crops  and  fruit  trees  in
                        2019 was as follows:  Tea was  6,557.1 tons, going down by  8.67%;
                        orange and tangerine  were  86,152 tons, going up by  19.93%; logan
                        was 5,107.5 tons, down 6.37% compared to last year.

                              Breeding cattle and poultry is stable, no major epidemic occurs.
                        At the time of October 1, 2019, the buffalo herd had 115.7 thousand
                        heads,  down  1.19%  compared  to  the  same  period  in  2018;  84.3
                        thousand  cows,  down  1.31%;  pig  herd  440.4  thousand,  up  6.29%;

                        7,657.42 thousand birds, up 6.92%. The output of steam buffalo meat
                        exported  in  2019  reached  3,667.0  tons,  an  increase  of  3.62%
