SOME FEATURES ON AGRICULTURE,
                         FORESTRY AND FISHERY IN 2022



               1. Agriculture

               In 2022, the agricultural production faced many advantages in terms
          of weather, severe cold, harmful cold did not occur, the average temperature
                          0
          was about 14-21 C, the temperature was not too low, creating the favorable
          conditions  for  agriculture  production.  Thanks  to  the  close  attention  and
          direction  of  the  Provincial  Party  Committee,  People's  Council,  Provincial
          People's Committee, the branches and localities in Hoa Binh province had
          efforts overcome all difficulties and strive to achieve certain results.

               The  production  of  cereals  reached  367,785.1  tons,  up  1.57%,
          compared to 2021, of which, the paddy production reached 217,101.2 tons,
          up  0.78%  (the  production  of  spring  paddy  reached  96,078.0  tons,  down
          0.22%, the production of winter paddy reached 121,023.2 tons, an increase
          of 1.58%); the maize production was 150,683.9 tons, up 2.73%.

               The  yield  of  sweet  potatoes  reached  21,938.7  tons,  down  5.71%
          compared to the previous year. Cassava production reached 117,240.5 tons,
          down  2.11%  compared  to  the  previous  year  mainly  due  to  reduced  area.
          The production of some annual  crops tended to increase  compared to  the
          previous  year  (vegetables  of  all  kinds,  increased  by  0.31%;  other  annual
          crops increased by 18.73%).

               The  production  in  2022  of  perennial  industrial  crops  and  fruit  trees
          was  as  follows:  Mango  reached  762  tons,  up  6.29%;  oranges  reached
          105,945 tons, up 5.89%; grapefruit reached 79,205 tons, up 18.21%; apples

          reached 950 tons, up 11.39%; longan reached 6,344.6 tons, up 7.64%; litchi,
          rambutan  reached  1,771  tons,  up  4.6%;  coffee  reached  83.7  tons,  up
          63.51%; tea reached 7,241 tons, up 5.11% over the previous year.
               Breeding cattle and poultry was stable, no major epidemic occurred.
          As of January 1, 2021, the buffalo herd had 114.5 thousand heads, down
